I am pleased to announce that you can now purchased my images from my website, scottyakelphotography.com. I am very excited to be able to now offer this! My awesome wife Jeanne and I have spent the last year traveling around Colorado camping, hiking and in some case just heading out for a drive to see what can be seen through the lens of my camera. This collection of images tells the story of the beautiful state of Colorado and others. You will find winter, summer and fall images in addition to mining structures from the 18th century found in the back country.
I hope you enjoy viewing my images, but most importantly, I hope you find one or two the you like and will purchase!
Thank you for your support, we’ll talk soon and God Bless America!
This past weekend was incredible for photographic opportunities. We spent time in the historical Silverton Colorado exploring many ghost town structures in the back country. This history amazes me and is begging for someone to snap a photo of and publish. These old mining towns are amazing to see, and as the old clich’e goes, “if these walls could talk” goes without saying! Some of these structures are pushing 100 plus year old and still standing, says something about the way things use to be built. This four wheel’n adventure in some case is not for the faint at heart,do to some of the roads riding along sheer cliffs dropping off for hundreds and in some case thousands of feet!
We camped in the wilderness of the San Juan Mountains as to be close to our daily journey in search of these awesome structures. The evenings were full of stars, except for our last night which brought some much needed rain.
Check out some of the new images in the “Mountain Strictures & Mining tab under the “Buy Prints tab to see updates.
