Silverton Colorado

This past weekend was incredible for photographic opportunities.  We spent time in the historical Silverton Colorado exploring many ghost town structures in the back country.  This history amazes me and is begging for someone to snap a photo of and publish.  These old mining towns are amazing to see, and as the old clich’e goes, “if these walls could talk” goes without saying!  Some of these structures are pushing 100 plus year old and still standing, says something about the way things use to be built.  This four wheel’n adventure in some case is not for the faint at heart,do to some of the roads riding along sheer cliffs dropping off for hundreds and in some case thousands of feet!

We camped in the wilderness of the San Juan Mountains as to be close to our daily journey in search of these awesome structures.  The evenings were full of stars, except for our last night which brought some much needed rain.

Check out some of the new images in the “Mountain Strictures & Mining tab under the “Buy Prints tab to see updates.
